Writers, among the many things that they should or shouldn’t do (but in reality, who really cares?), while writhing under trivial, yet still pressing expectations, must be aware that they carry the badge of truth.

Yes, writers should be the explorers of truth and keep their eyes open 24/7. When they fall into their turbulent slumber, it is allowed for ‘eyes’ to be replaced with ‘mind’, even though some deem them as synonyms.

No matter how honorable and grand the role of holding such an important task may be, sometimes I wish I could be utterly oblivious again and shut those eyes, be lulled into sleep just as easily when I was a peacefully sleeping infant in a crib. With a beautifully damned, blank mind.

But I’m on a mission.
